BioIm a 23 yr old 2007 graduate from NIU, with a BA in Art.
Ive designed pages and created graphics for about 5 years at NIU's newspaper, the award-winning Northern Star. During the summer of 2004 I was the fulltime unpaid graphics intern at the Rockford Register Star. I've also done freelance design work for Frost and Friends Fancy Boutique in Rockford, Rabec Associates of Rockford, and the Rockford-area band The Broken Fall.
I currently work as an hourly manager for Carmike Cinemas, and do most of the art for the theater's promotions. I am hoping to find a job in the future doing design-related or managerial work in the Rockford area.
In my free time i like to sleep, hang out with my friends and sometimes drink, watch movies, spend time with my fiance (![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)
bigjosh1030) whom I've been good friends with since 8th grade, play World of Warcraft (I have a 70 Huaman Ret Pally and 70 Blood Elf Hunter on the Scarlet Crusade server), and go to rock concerts, among other things. I'm also planning my wedding in September and am in the process of moving back to Rockford.
I like most music except for country, r&b, and most rap (with the exceptions of Coolio, Outkast, Eminem, run DMC, and The Black Eyed Peas). I mostly listen to rock (including hard rock, metal, nu metal, etc), but I also don't mind singer/songwriter stuff from the 90's, grunge, punk, ska, 80s, etc. Some of my favorite bands are Disturbed, Static X, System of a Down, NiN, Celldweller, Pitchshifter, Dethklok, Basshunter, Dragonforce, AC/DC, Nonpoint, Mudvayne, Powerman 5000, Sevendust, The Offspring, Atreyu, etc.
My favorite movies are mostly comedies such as Office Space, Napoleon Dynamite, Zoolander, Grandma's Boy, Eurotrip, and the Wedding Singer. I also like really cheesy action movies like Snakes on a Plane and Tank Girl, action flicks that have a plot, classic 80s movies (think John Hughes movies), vampire movies, some chick flicks, some epics, whodunit-type mystery movies, artsy fantasy films and really really really good thrillers. Other favorites are 300, Doomsday, Stardust, Transformers and of course The Lion King and Anastasia.
I'll also watch anything that has Johnny Depp, Jason Statham, or John Cusack in it.
I regularly watch Pushing Daisies, Smallville, Samantha Who, Best Week Ever, The Soup, Dethklok Metalocalypse, To Catch a Predator, Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and sitcoms on TBS. I also loved the short-lived series Freaks and Geeks.
**The LP in LPchick used to stand for Linkin Park, but most of their newer stuff over the past few years ain't all that great, but I'm too lazy to change all my handles online, especially since everyone online seems to know me as LPchick.
